OGDENSBURG - As an assistant coach for the Ogdensburg Free Academy Boys Basketball Team, Megan Morrison knows a thing or two about what makes a great team player.

Although she may not collect rebounds or shoot threes, Ms. Morrison said Deb Aldrich is always there with an assist when needed.

"She goes above and beyond every single day," Ms. Morrison said. "She is always available to help out any of the therapy staff at a moment's notice with a smile."

And much like a big man with ball handling skills, her background as a CNA makes Ms. Aldrich a double threat.

"When bringing residents to/from therapy sessions she will also help the nursing staff as needed due to her background as a CNA," Ms. Morrison said. "She is the definition of a team player, and she never hesitates when asked to do more."

Most importantly though, Ms. Morrison said Ms. Aldrich is loved and trusted by the residents.

For these reason and more, Ms. Aldrich was selected as a Winter 2017 Life Improved Award Honorable Mention recipient.

"The residents all love her and trust that when she is part of their treatment sessions they will be in good hands," Ms. Morrison said. "As a new grad PT, I have used Deb's services quite a bit with more challenging residents and her poise and reassurance for residents who may be attempting hard things in therapy impresses me always."
