Metal Recycling: Keeping the Planet Healthy

Reducing the corporate carbon footprint is the main focus of the United Helpers’ organizational Sustainability team and increasing sustainable practices and technology is their vision. Among their many efforts is an effort to recycle, an effort that they would like to share with the community at large.

United Helpers offers “drop off” containers for metal recycling for public use at the following locations:

Maplewood Campus, 205 State Street Rd in Canton, NY of the facility

Basta’s Flower Shop, 619 Main Street in Ogdensburg, NY

Metal recycling containers are located at the rear of both of the facilities. Most types of scrap metal are accepted with the following exceptions: air conditioners, refrigerators or humidifiers (any type of refrigeration appliance).
