Sustainability Kudos to the Energy Reduction Contest Leaders

The Organizational Sustainability Committee wishes to congratulate Cherry St IRA, UH Mgmt Company, RiverLedge Health Care & Rehab Center, RiverLedge Residence, Partridge Knoll, Spruce St IRA, High St IRA, McIntyre IRA, Riverwood IRA, Kendrew IRA, Centennial IRA, Sparx, Pleasant Valley IRA and Potsdam Day Hab as our point leaders in the Energy reduction contest, each with the maximum of 6points!

The United Helpers Sustainability Committee is challenging facilities to reduce their energy usage and is using a three-year look back period to provide incentive for employees to look at ways to conserve electricity. For each month that a United Helpers’ facility goes below their three year average, they are awarded a point. Sites falling below their average by 1-2% receive an additional point and those achieving a rate at 2% below their average receive 2 points or a maximum total of 3 points per month.

In December, prizes will be awarded to the top point earners. In the event of a tie, facilities with the highest scores will be entered into a drawing and a winner will be chosen at random. United Helpers employees may view the complete results of the contest by visiting the United Helpers Intranet, clicking on "Teams & Committees", then selecting the "Sustainability Committee", then "Sustainability Contest Results" under the "Helpful Resources" tab.

The United Helpers Sustainability Committee and subcommittees are committed to seeking ways to reduce their carbon footprint, improving the lives of those we serve and our communities.
