RiverLedge to Celebrate National Nursing Home Week

The residents and staff at RiverLedge will celebrate National Nursing Home week beginning this Sunday with a Mother's Day Tea Party at 2 p.m.

The full week of activities will conclude on Saturday with participation in the Gouverneuer Breast Cancer Walk.

Monday will be crazy hat & plaid day with entertainment from BJ Hughes at 2 p.m.

On Tuesday RiverLedge will host a Books Are Fun Fair that runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday's activities also include a facility-wide scavenger hunt at 1:30 and Hawaiian Folk Singer Voss Fernandez at 6 p.m. Tuesday's theme will be stripes and sneaker.

Wednesday will be crazy sock day and include a 2 p.m. performance from local ventriloquist Rachel & Grandpa Gus. The American Red Cross will also pay a visit to RiverLedge for a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call 393-0730 to schedule your appointment to give blood.

RiverLedge will be full of vibrant colors on Thursday when each wing of the building will wear a different color. Color themes include blue, purple, pink, orange and yellow. Entertainment for the day will include karaoke sessions at both 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Friday will be country western day with entertainment from Margaritaville with Rick & Farrand at 2 p.m.
